Hybrid Calisthenics Workout Week for Full-Body Fitness

Breaking through a plateau usually comes down to one thing:

Give your body a new reason to adapt.

You have five main ways to do that:

  1. Increase volume
  2. Increase weight
  3. Increase intensity or speed
  4. Increase range of motion
  5. Eventually increase several of these at the same time

Simple.

And after years of training, I have learned that this becomes even more important as you get older.

I’m 46, 6'1", and I still want stronger legs, better conditioning, good mobility, solid upper-body strength and the ability to do all of it without turning my week into seven days of punishment.

That is where a hybrid calisthenics workout week comes in.

I use bodyweight training as the foundation, then mix in kettlebells, sprinting, running, cycling, handstands and mobility work.

It keeps training interesting.

It also gives me more ways to keep progressing.
