How To Stay Healthy On A Business Trip In Las Vegas

How To Stay Healthy On A Business Trip In Las Vegas?

I just got back from a 3 day business trip in Las Vegas.

I think you can imagine the amount of things that can go wrong there.

But, there are also very simple things we can do to stay healthy and feel energetic, even in Vegas!

Today I will share my personal trip, schedule and tips, so you can use it whenever you have to go somewhere for work.

Day 1 - From LA to Las Vegas.

The night before: 5 min nightly stretching routine (hips, shoulders, quads/hamstrings, back, wrists)

  • 8 am: Wake up - 1 Big glass of water.
  • 8:30am - Big breakfast, as always.
  • 9:30 am - 11 am: Shower + work emails.
  • 11:30am: Pack the car, pack the 12 Big Bottles of Fiji Water. Drive to Vegas.
  • 4 pm: Get to Vegas. Drink water through the trip - Park, walk 2 miles, check in, drop luggages in the room, walk 2 miles back.
  • 5 pm: Meeting the team at the Venetian expo hall, work until 6pm.
  • 6-7pm: 10 min stretching routine + shower.
  • 8pm: dinner at the Italian restaurant. I pick THE item of choice: the bolognese egg pasta. Water only.
  • 10:30pm: 5 min nightly stretch routine. Sleep.

Day 2 - Prime Work Day

  • 8 am: Wake up - 1 Big glass of Fiji water.
  • 8:05 am: 101 push ups (30-30-41, with 10 sec or less rest between sets).
  • 8:30am - Big breakfast, as always. I always walk the extra 5 min away from the most crowded places and where there is no line. I pick the Illy cafe, bacon omelette with black coffee. They also have pastries at the work place. I also had a few of those.
  • 9:30 am: Get to work. Meetings ALL day. Drink water throughout the day. I also had a few coffees in the morning as well as a few glasses of champaign as a business “requirement” towards the end of the day.
  • 6pm: 101 squats. One set. Shower. Water.
  • 8:00pm: Dinner at a French restaurant. We all shared steak tartare, pig ears and salad appetizers. I then picked the grass fed steak frites for the main course. We shared a few great desserts (creme brûlée and lemon tart). I also had a couple glasses of excellent red wine.
  • 11:pm: walk around the Vegas strip to digest the massive dinner.
  • 11:30pm: 5 min nightly stretch routine. Sleep.

Day 3 - The Closing Day

  • 8 am: Wake up - 1 Big glass of Fiji water.
  • 8:05 am: 101 push ups (30-30-41, with 10 sec or less rest between sets).
  • 8:30am: Packing, Check out, quick breakfast of a few pastries and 1 black coffee + water (I did not have enough time to stop for the omelette that day).
  • 9:30am: Get to work. Meetings ALL day. Drink water throughout the day.
  • 2:30pm: Quick meal (chicken, broccoli and plantains).
  • 4:30pm: Leave work place, walk 2 miles back to the car.
  • 5:30pm: Stay stuck in traffic. Drink one Fiji bottle on the way back.
  • 9:45pm: Get back home in LA.
  • 10:30pm: 15 min stretching (hips, back, shoulders, forearms, wrists, quads, toes).
  • 11 pm: Sleep.

It’s Monday now as I am writing this, the business week end was very productive and I feel great. I am actually a few pounds leaner too.

I didn’t do anything hard, I just used calisthenics on the go and stayed CONSISTENT.

Use this as template example for your own business trips to stay healthy and full of energy too!
